We wanted to share this creation from one of our young ( Year 5) writers, Ethan.
In his Write On Saturdays class Ethan has been learning poetry techniques and at Write On Winter Writing School he learned about combining writing with mathematical ideas including fractal shapes like snowflakes and seed arrangements in flower heads.
We love that Ethan took this connectivity many steps further combining science and poetry with music, te reo and animation. Thank you for sharing this Ethan. We are sure other young writers will be inspired to make their own new connections.
“Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things.” – Steve Jobs
