HONOURABLE MENTION FROM WRITE ON ISSUE 53
BY BEN DE RUYTER, YEAR 8, GLENITI SCHOOL
First of all hunt down a large area.
Divert all rain and water away from that area.
Flood the selected area with a plethora of sand.
Something about the sun ...
Import illegal desert dwelling animals/insects that are definitely a bio-security problem.
Dodge the authorities after illegally imported animals.
Distribute the animals across the sand.
Purchase cacti in bulk.
This poem is a part of the Honourable Mention series, for those pieces of writing submitted to Write On Issue 53 (Summer 2019/2020) that we couldn't quite fit into the magazine.
